Motivation One of the most famous books prior to the introduction of leadership studies in the 1990’s was In Search of Excellence by Peters and Waterman. Their 1981 best-seller is a treasure trove of information on motivating self and others.

People Skills Command of language, listening skills and understanding social dynamics all lead to your emotional intelligence quotient. Daniel Goleman broke new ground in this area with his books Emotional Intelligence, Primal Leadership and Social Intelligence; but other experts exist in the field as well!
